Nuraghe Aleri or Bàleri
Dating from 1400–1000 BC, the Nuraghe Aleri, or Bàleri, is located on a hill very close to Foxi Manna Beach. It is a complex nuraghe consisting of a central tower enclosed within a bastion of three towers, joined by straight curtain walls and linked internally by corridors. Visitors can enter the central tower through a south-east-facing doorway topped by a granite lintel, which leads into a straight passage. At the end of the corridor, a doorway with an angled roof leads into a circular inner chamber with a sunken floor. The chamber is built from roughly worked trachyte blocks laid in irregular courses. Two niches open off its walls, one to the left of the entrance and the other directly opposite it. The structure is built from unworked granite boulders of varying sizes, also laid in irregular courses.
